The Foodservice Educators Learning Community welcomes culinary arts and hospitality educators to their 3rd annual summit in Charleston, South Carolina April 8-9, 2011. Due to feedback from attendees and members, we are returning to Charleston, SC for the summit in glorious springtime. According to locals, April is “Heaven on Earth” in Charleston, as all the flowers are blooming, the weather is perfect, festivals and celebrations abound and many historic Charleston home owners open up their homes and gardens for the public. So save the date next year, because we want to see you in Charleston!

Host Hotel
We are returning to the Hampton Inn-Charleston Historic District. Located at 345 Meeting Street, the Hampton Inn is an ideal location as it is close to both the summit location at Trident Technical College’s Palmer Campus and downtown shopping and restaurants. The Hampton Inn also offers a continental breakfast to guests.
FELC’s group rate of $179/night is available by using the group code “FEL” when making reservations. Call the hotel directly at 843.723.4000 to reserve your room.

Note-We can’t stress enough that April is HIGH tourist season for Charleston and we urge you to make your hotel reservations as soon as possible as we were only allowed a small room block during this due to room demand.

Summit Location - Trident Technical College’s Palmer Campus, located at 66 Columbus Street, Charleston, SC 29403. For a map to the campus, visit http://www.tridenttech.edu/campusesandsites.htm.
